Honor to the Dead Remembrance Parade and Ceremony

The Remembrance Parade and Ceremony, held at St. Augustine National Cemetery, is an annual commemoration event to mark the end of the Second Seminole War. The event honors those who perished in it. The 1842 event that we reenact marked both the end of the longest Indian war in U.S. history, but also the dawn of what would become our country’s national cemetery system.

The 16th annual event takes place August 12, 2023. Consider joining us for a very moving ceremony and a new and interesting luncheon program with information on this year’s speaker theme, the Treaty of Moultrie Creek.
